First digital workcamp at the Neuengamme Concentration Camp Memorial

At this year's international work camp "What remains? Digital Traces of Neuengamme Concentration Camp", the participants will undertake online research on the topic of remembrance and the Neuengamme Concentration Camp. For the first time the annual international camp will take place digitally.

Our first digital work camp will focus on the digital traces of visitors of the concentration camp memorial site from all over the world, which they left behind in social media. We also ask what different sources of information are found when people in different countries search online for the history of the Neuengamme concentration camp. Together with the participants of the international work camp, we want to create Wikipedia entries on the subject of the Neuengamme concentration camp in different languages, or supplement existing entries. We will document our experiences and results in a blog or similar. We will also write articles for the local newspaper.
