Invitation: New Posters for A Space to Remember

Präsentation der Plakate durch Angehörige im historischen Klinkerwerk in der KZ-Gedenkstätte Neuengamme
Presentation of the posters

On May 2, 2026, new posters will once again be presented at the Space to Remember at the Neuengamme Concentration Camp Memorial on the anniversary of the liberation. Would you, as a relative, like to design a poster in memory of your loved one?

A Poster at A Space to Remember

The Space to Remember is an active, growing memorial by and for relatives of former prisoners of the Neuengamme Concentration Camp. Here, family members from all over the world design, print, and present individual posters in memory of their persecuted family members.

The self-made poster motifs are used to produce printing plates, which are exhibited on site and can be used to reproduce the posters.

On Saturday, May 2, 2026, starting at 9:30 a.m., the Place of Connection invites relatives to meet again and print together in the printing workshop in the Plattenhaus. At 1 p.m., we will meet for the public poster presentation.

Relatives who would like to design their own poster are very welcome to do so. Information on this can be found here: How do I design a poster motif?

The Ort der Verbundenheit working group will be happy to assist you with the design. Simply send an email to info@ort-der-verbundenheit.org.

Important

For printing plates that need to be ready by May 2, we need the poster designs by February 15, 2026, at the latest.

This year, the Friends of the Neuengamme Concentration Camp Memorial will cover the costs of producing the printing plates from donations. Participation is therefore free of charge for relatives.
