On 4 May, the Neuengamme Concentration Camp Memorial will commemorate the liberation of the prisoners 80 years ago and the end of the war with a varied programme. You are cordially invited to attend.

The central commemorative event to mark the 80th anniversary of the liberation will take place at the Neuengamme Concentration Camp Memorial on 3 May. But there is also an extensive programme on other days.

On 4 May, the Neuengamme Concentration Camp Memorial will host a Day of Diverse Remembrance. We have summarised the programme:

Commemoration of Prisoners Persecuted as ‘Homosexuals’ in Neuengamme Concentration Camp
Venue: Neuengamme Concentration Camp Memorial; the event will start at the former detention bunker and then move to the former roll-call square (near the bus stop ‘KZ-Gedenkstätte, Ausstellung’); from around 5.00 p.m., commemoration will take place at the monument to ‘homosexual’ prisoners in the memorial grove (near the bus stop ‘KZ-Gedenkstätte, Mahnmal’)
